We have re-designed our original spurtle set and included a pastry/dough knife!
What is a “spurtle?” Made from hardwood (we used maple), it is a wooden kitchen utensil designed for stirring without clumping or scratching your cookware and because it is made from wood, it will not leach toxins into your food.
We have prepped each one with 2 coats of food grade mineral oil so these are ready for you to use right away! Please note: you must take care of your spurtles & pastry/dough knife to ensure they do not dry out so you will need to purchase your own mineral oil or butcher block oil to help them last!

Measurements vary but they are approximately 11 - 14 inches long and the knife is 4x6 with a beveled edge on 2 sides.

Spurtle and Pastry/Dough Knife Set
To ensure your wooden utensils last, you must take proper care of them.
1. Do not place in the dishwasher. These must be washed by hand and dried thoroughly. They are made from wood, and when wood gets wet, the fibres will sometimes lift up, making the surface seem rough. This is very normal.
3. Food grade mineral oil or butcher block oil must be applied 3 - 4 times a month. Please follow manufacturer’s instructions when applying the oil.
